Biography
Julian was raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts by a single dad who was a civil servant working for the City. He studied Philosophy at New York University. Julian spent 15 years working with worldwide brands, leading advertising agencies and was Chief Strategic Officer and Vice President of the thelabnyc. It was in New York City that he met fashion designer Roxi Suger, married and where his son Cotton was born. His father bought a home in Saco over 20 years ago and the family fell in love with Biddeford during their many visits before ultimately buying their own home in 2012.
Julian & Roxi work together and have a 7,500 foot manufacturing space in the Pepperell Mills where they craft Roxi's sustainable designs. They also own Suger, a boutique on Washington Street with a second location in the Old Port where they sell their clothing as well as many other wonderful Maine Made & mindfully curated items. Julian is passionate about Biddeford and serves on several other committees focused on Downtown Biddeford. He and his wife give generously to local charities and are responsible for the Biddeford Ball, a fundraiser that has raised nearly $150k for local charities and installed the LED lighting that illuminates the Mills smoke stack at night in the Heart of Biddeford.
