Welcome to Biddeford! If you plan to spend time exploring our downtown during your visit, please review the following information about parking.
Parking on any street in Biddeford is free.
Make sure to read all posted signage before parking as many streets in the downtown have two or four-hour time limits.
Time limits are doubled for all users who have a disability plaque.
Parking on Main Street is prohibited from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
City-Owned Parking Lots
City-owned parking lots in the downtown require parking permits, which can be purchased on an hourly basis from parking kiosks located in each lot. The cost to park in any of these lots is $2 per hour. Parking permits are registered by license plate number, so you do not have to display your receipt on the dashboard of your vehicle.
The Franklin Street Lot and the Alfred Street Lot (located next to the Police Station) offer two hours of free parking. Users must enter their license plate number at the kiosk in order to park for free in these lots.
There are several free perpendicular 2-hour parking and 30-minute parking spaces in the Franklin Street area. You do not have to enter your license plate number into the kiosk to park in these spaces.
Lincoln Street Temporary Parking Lot
The City of Biddeford has created a temporary parking lot at the intersection of Pearl Street and Lincoln Street to help accommodate short-term parking in this area during a period of significant construction. The lot offers free two-hour parking and there is no kiosk in the lot.
