Once expected to dwindle in population, a growing Biddeford is now the youngest community in Maine and is continuing to transform as new residents and entrepreneurs are attracted to the community.

Applicants for this position should have progressive experiences in financial management, accounting, budgeting, and analytical processes. Some higher education in business administration, accounting, public management or other applicable studies is required. Experience in municipal finance with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience with MUNIS municipal accounting software is highly desired.
The Finance Director reports directly to the City Manager and advises the Mayor, City Council and Finance Committee on all financial affairs of the City and provides expert professional assistance to City management staff on financial, budgeting, procurement, investments, accounting and related matters.
