Final Downtown Development Commission Survey - January 2022

In December 2019, Biddeford City Council approved funding to develop a concept plan for Pearl Point Park. The Park is part of the redevelopment of the MERC site, which also includes a new parking garage and new commercial and residential space. After engaging the community in a public planning process for the park in 2020-21, the Downtown Development Commission is conducting a final survey in January 2022 to collect feedback on the future use of the Park.

This survey is now CLOSED. Thank you for participating!

Background on Public Planning Process

In fall 2020, the Downtown Development Commission facilitated a public meeting and online survey to gather feedback on three proposed designs for the City’s new park that will be located at the end of Pearl Street along the Saco River. The common sentiments for more green space and less hardscape were incorporated into revised designs. The latest proposed designs of the park feature a flexible performance space that can be adapted for other uses when there are no performances taking place.
