Assessing Admin

The City of Biddeford, an up and coming, incredibly resurgent community, has an entry-level opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in our Assessing Department. The City of Biddeford has experienced an economic revival centered on a nationally recognized creative community in our downtown. Once expected to dwindle in population, a growing Biddeford is now the youngest community in Maine and is continuing to transform as new residents and entrepreneurs are attracted to the community.

The City of Biddeford is looking for a highly motivated, eager to learn, team oriented, and organized individual to serve as the Assessing Admin. They will perform a variety of administrative and assessing clerical tasks including:

  • Responding to all incoming general department questions, answering or directing the questions to the appropriate employee
  • Maintains an organized filing system both on paper and electronically of all property ownership data, taxpayer applications, department operations budget, Assessing webpage updates and department calendar updates

Preferred Experience: 

        1.   Real Estate related job or course work 

        2.   Intern related municipal government job or course work 

        3.   Administrative Assistant related job or course work
