Safety and Training Coordinator

The City of Biddeford has an exciting, new opportunity for a Safety and Training Coordinator. As a newly funded position, the right candidate for this role will have the opportunity to build safety and training programming from the ground up within the City. The Coordinator will work with the Recreation, Public Works, Fire and Police Departments to ensure that all Safety and Training standards are being met City Wide. A collaborative attitude will be critical to this role. The Coordinator will manage the City wide Safety Committee and will sit on all of the Safety Sub Committees. This role will also serve as the Liaison with the City’s risk management provider and will manage a Safety Incentive Program. The Coordinator will need to have a solid understanding of BLS/OSHA standards and will be responsible for all related reporting. They will be responsible for understanding and implementing all required training throughout the City. Additionally, this position will be responsible for disciplinary investigations Citywide.

Safety and/or Training experience required; Municipal/Government experience preferred.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
