Absentee Ballot Requests

The City Clerk’s Office is now taking ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS for the upcoming June 14, 2022 State Primary Election & Municipal School Budget Validation Referendum Election.

You may request an absentee ballot by calling the City Clerk’s Office (207-284-9307) or by going into the City Clerk’s Office during the business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may also go visit the State of Maine's Absentee Ballot Request website to request an absentee ballot electronically.

PLEASE NOTE:  Absentee ballots will be available around May 16th.   

Absentee ballot requests must be received by the City Clerk’s Office by 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, unless special circumstances exist.  There will be no absentee voting on Friday, June 10 or Monday, June 13.


Extended Hours for Absentee Voting

The City Clerk’s Office will be open on Thursday, June 9, 2022 until 6:00 p.m. for absentee voting, acceptance of new voter registrations, and change of name and/or address. Please use the Main Street entrance after 4:00 p.m.
