[ARCHIVED] Non-Resident 2022 Shellfish License Lottery

Attention Non-Resident Shellfish Diggers: For the 2022 shellfish license season, all non-resident recreational shellfish licenses will be issued by LOTTERY DRAWING.

Starting on May 2, 2022, any non-resident of Biddeford may enter into the non-resident shellfish license lottery drawing by completing an application form and returning it to the City Clerk's Office.

60 names will be drawn on Friday, May 20, 2022 and folks will be contacted by email/mail if their name is drawn.  Anyone whose name is drawn will have until June 10, 2022 to appear in the City Clerk’s Office, with proper ID, to purchase the non-resident shellfish license.

Anyone who is selected in the lottery drawing and does not purchase their non-resident shellfish license by the end of day on June 10, 2022 will no longer be able to purchase a license; and another lottery drawing will be held to issue any remaining non-resident shellfish licenses.

Please contact the City Clerk’s Office at (207) 284-9307 with any questions.  The Clerk’s Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
