Nicholas Desjardins Nominated as Biddeford’s Next Assessor

City Council to Review for Confirmation


BIDDEFORD July 10, 2018 – The Biddeford City Council will be asked to support City Manager James A. Bennett’s nomination of Nicholas Desjardins to become Biddeford’s next Assessor, a position that is shared with the City of Saco. The City Council will consider his nomination as part of their regular Council meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

“I am pleased to nominate Mr. Desjardins to this position,” said City Manager Bennett. “As a current member of the Assessing Department, Mr. Desjardins has proved his abilities and leadership skills and has a thorough understanding of how the Assessor contributes to the overall success of the City. It is always great to be able to promote an employee from within when they are the best qualified candidate for the position.”

Mr. Desjardins, a Certified Maine Assessor, has been employed by the City of Biddeford for the past 10 years. He currently serves as the Assistant Assessor, where he has provided support to the Assessor in appraising commercial, residential, and personal property.
