[ARCHIVED] Equipment Delay Postpones Parking Permit System; On-Street Parking Changes to be Enforced Nov. 1

The City of Biddeford has previously announced that it would be implementing a new parking program on November 1 that includes the use of parking permits in downtown municipal parking lots. However, the City has been notified by the manufacturer of its parking kiosks that the shipment of equipment has been unexpectedly delayed. The date of arrival for the kiosks is now expected to be in mid-November.

All members of Biddeford’s downtown community are advised to take notice of posted time limits when parking on Main Street and downtown side streets beginning on November 1. Parking enforcement officers will begin to ticket cars that violate new signage on November 1. Vehicles that are in violation of these new signs may receive a warning for their first violation and will be ticketed for their second violation. Vehicles will not receive a warning for violating longstanding parking time limits.
